Perot Systems IPO price range raised-underwriter

NEW YORK, Feb 1 (Reuters) - The expected price range for the initial public offering of Perot Systems, the information technology provider led by one-time presidential hopeful Ross Perot, was raised to $15 to $16 from $13 to $14, lead underwriter Morgan Stanley Dean Witter said Monday.

Late last week, the underwriter had raised the expected price range from $11 to $12.

The Dallas-based company's offering of 5.5 million shares is expected to price late Monday. Perot Systems, which competes with firms such as Andersen Consulting and EDS Corp.(NYSE:EDS - news), has been around for a while and has already created a history for itself, unlike some of the relatively new Internet IPOs that have hit the market, analysts said.

Perot Systems earned $9.1 million on $452.7 million of revenues for the first half of 1998.
