Despite the promised performance of G4 Altivec, it's a sad but true fact that in processor marketing to the general public, Mhz has become the measure they look for.

If people have finally been able to understand that 4-cylinder engines are not necessarily faster and with more horsepower than 6-cylinders, then I see no reason why they can't eventually understand that more MHz doesn't equate to more power when comparing different computer platforms. Maybe, if most of the general public finally starts to also realize that celerons under-perform std PII, then there may be hope. It's about time retails sales people make this issue clear.
When are people going to wake up and stop the intake of marketing BS and start asking questions for their own learning?
