Synergy Brands Signs Agreement With VisuaLink
Technologies to Develop BeautyBuys.com

SYOSSET, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 7, 1999--Synergy Brands, Inc. (NASDAQ:
SYBR - news) announced today that the company has entered into an agreement with
VisuaLink Technologies, Inc. for development of BeautyBuys.com, an e-commerce website.

The site will offer an extensive array of nationally branded beauty care products, including professional salon hair care products,
designer fragrances and cosmetics. The website is expected to be launched prior to February 14, 1999.

BeautyBuys.com will offer substantial promotional discounts on all of its extensive catalog of beauty care products.
Furthermore, the company will fulfill all web-based orders from one of its own distribution centers, streamlining the order
process.

''This website will allow us to offer more than 1,400 brand name products with exceptional prices, and it will provide us with
an excellent opportunity to achieve high consumer satisfaction online,'' said Henry Platek, President of Synergy Brands.

Synergy Brands is also negotiating strategic Internet alliances with major national retailers to display and fulfill on-line orders for
the company's products listed on the retailers' website.

media and enterprise solutions, including Internet consulting, intranet and web site development, and interactive multimedia
