Glad to hear things are going well for you now. You need to keep a close eye on you broker's response time during busy periods, especially the first 30 minutes. This time slot, where every daytrader out there is trying to do the same thing at the same time, separates the sheep from the goats - if the broker can give you prompt fills during these times, he has more than earned his commission - reference the recent comments by SEC chief Arthur Levitt.

I believe that in order to give yourself a good chance of executing the trade you actually entered in a busy market, you need a platform that offers the possibility of real time order routing from the software on your PC to the specific Market Maker or ECN. Both CyBerTrader and MB Trader have this capability, to a greater or lesser degree.
