A rights offering does not imply everyone will exercise all their rights. Others may oversubscribe and use up the rights not exercised in proportion to their subscriptions. I owned Sepracorp at $10 when no one wanted it. It had been put to me at $12.5 or $15. Eventually it was called away from me to my relief. <g> Sometimes it is difficult to know the real value of something. I suggest that if XOMA moves up many long term holders will probably bail when they are even. Suggest that you, at least, think this through, before selling.
