I read the URL that you posted. I found the arguments there to be similar to those of vegetarians. What about the real threats to privacy that are here today? Like fraud on the internet; selling "marketing data" when I didn't give permission (even state DoTs dot that!).

If the people organizing the boycott are clearly identifying the issues, the problems and the enemy and prioritizing their campaign for the most effectivness and measuring effectiveness by its total impact on the cause, their motives are suspect.

Their motives are suspect.
