Excellent post, and a series of excellent posts you've made lately. As a long time holder of SFE, I have to say I believe we have turned away from NAV as an indicator. I was an early skeptic, but now think that SFE is trading more on a combination of PE and future offerings/assumed value. Clearly the market is trying to properly figure out what its non-public and especially Internet companies are worth. We are in uncharted waters. I don't know what they're worth, anyway.

But for now, I think we should just watch and see where it ends up. As far as sentiment goes, I do expect both the market as a whole and the net fever to suffer some considerable backlashes as they fall back and try to digest these runups. SFE will probably do the same. The VERT IPO date is an interesting one to watch.

When it is set for? Or is it set yet?
