Well, with this little bit of news I now wonder if "Device Bay" will not only appear in the current beta of the Win98 OEM service pack, but also in the release of "Win2000 Personal Edition"?
(It's kind of like plug-n-play on steroids, I would have expected to see it in NT first)

Anyway, even if Device Bay doesn't get the go, I would expect the next round of motherboards(this fall?) -- for pre-builts -- to be missing serial/parallel ports (and ISA slots)... with USB the standard for peripherals.
