Jones could have been lying or telling the truth, or a bit of both. We will never know, because her lawsuit, like many sexual harrassment lawsuits, boiled down to "he said, she said." Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas was accused of sexual harrassment by Anita Hill, and he was allowed to take his seat on the court. Why? Mostly because nobody knew exactly who or what to believe.
As you say, many people believe Clinton because he is president, after all. I'd also say many people disbelieved Clinton because they disagreed with his politics. Who are you going to believe?
Anyway, it's irrelevant to the question of whether Clinton should be removed from office. In my book, unproved sexual harrassment in one case and lying about a consensual sexual affair in another case are not "high crimes and misdemeanors," as the Constitution states as grounds for removing a president.

You don't even know me, so how can judge me as "heartless and hopelessly biased"? FYI, I am actually quite compassionate and fair-minded. After all, I'm ready to forgive Bill Clinton... :-)
