I have something important to tell you, Michelle. You may offend certain members of SI if you continue using language such as you have in your two posts to Michael: You are using the word 'erect' incorrectly. And since you use it so frequently, you must learn how to use it correctly.

You may use the word as an adjective or as a verb. Using it as an adjective, you might correctly ask Michael if his penis is erect, or becomes erect, or, instead of your construction,

"When you jump up and down in the locker room, does your penis erect?,"

you may correctly ask,

"When you jump up and down in the locker room, do you have (or get) an erect penis?"

So much for the adjectival form of the word 'erect.'

You, Michelle, in using such phrases as, "Tell me if your penis erects," are using the word 'erect' as a verb. Unfortunately, you are using it as though the verb 'erect' were an intransitive verb-- which it is not.

An intransitive verb is a verb that does not require an object.

The verb 'erect,' however, is a transitive verb, and thus does require an object.

As a result, when you ask Michael, "Has it ever erected when you thought about a guy?," the absence of any object for the transitive verb 'erect' necessarily raises the question, "Has his penis ever erected what?"

There are many ways to obtain the information you seek from Michael without making an error in grammar. I am limited to suggestions appropriate for this forum, of course. I might suggest, "Tell me if your penis becomes erect," or, more informally, "Tell me if your penis gets erect," keeping in mind that synonyms for 'erect' are not hard to come by.
