Orthodox and Catholic Christians hold that Jesus had a dual nature -- god and man -- that he suffered on the cross, died, descended in to hell, was raised again and sitteth at the right hand of God.

point of information: the Orthodox creed specifically does not state that Christ died, only that he suffered, descended, and raised again.
