I myself use schwab on line. Even though their fees are a bit higher then the other E-brokers, when there is a market panic (as we have all experienced in recent years), many of the on line brokers can't be accessed. At least with Schwab, there is a number to call, and they will process any transaction at the same fee as if you were on line (during times when internet access is jammed or congested).
