Yes. That's the contract, and your risk. Getting "PUT", so to speak. Someone PUTS the stock to you, and you kindly (or unkindly) fork over your cash (or cash and margin). As I was discussing with Options Jerry, most put writers will hedge some or all of their short positions with some long puts under the strike (cheap puts) to prevent too much loss if the stock heads to the depths way below the strike. It's just like short sells, who buy calls to protect runaway stocks to the upside (which they didn't think would run away...), Sorry if I offended you. I didn't mean to, yet you seemed to execute a risky trade and then asked about the consequences or risks.... Keep and eye on it, and good luck with it. RMBS is a tricky stock. Steve
