Perfumania sell a lot of perfums and has a annual sale $160 million. Estee Lauder makes perfums and sell them to dept store at whole sale price. Estee Lauder's revenue last year is $3.8 billion. (Retail for Estee Lauder alone should be more than $7 billion) Now you see why there is little chance for PRFM to be successful. Many brand names, such as Estee Lauder, Lancom, simplely don't give their products to PRFM. On line or off line, does not matter. Think you open a cigrette store and both RJR and Phllip Morris don't let you sell their staff, can you be success?

Someone mentioned royalty. Very correct! Most people who buy Estee Lauder and Lancom today won't swich to cheap PRFM perfum. Unless PRFM sign a deal with Estee Lauder or Lancom or other major brand name to become their EXCLUSIVE online seller, PRFM really don't have much chance. Deal with AOL, AMZN does not help any real problem, even if there are such kinds of deals coming.
