Hi low grades - the market spoke today - 'no biggie'

I am no expert on VNE, just another very recent arrival. This stock is still very new to me and most of my comments are just me 'thinking out loud' to see what other investors are thinking.

So with that said - IMO, if the suit was a big deal then VNE would not have had the strong day it did - chewing through nearly 1.5 million shares above $2.80. It would have been chewing through sub-$2 shares. Alternatively, it could have ‘tanked' - look at what happened to PRFM today. Take a look at this for ugly - INSO - lot worse than PRFM:

The market had the whole trading day to destroy VNE - it didn't. The market is all powerful and has made its judgement - ‘no biggie'. This is why I said that the News of the suit was already in the stock. Bad or very negative News can annihilate a stock in an hour or less.

Yes the company is arranging financing - as per Jan. 21 News:

Unless I hear otherwise I will give VNE the benefit of the doubt and assume that they informed their underwriters in NYC of 'difficulties' with Gretzky et al. - which would be part of their DD negotiations. The filing of the suit just means that no amicable arrangement could be agreed to by the two parties. Going to court is not an admission of guilt. It just means that Gretzky et al. have stated their position, VNE have stated theirs - now it's up to an adjudicator to decide, which is when the court case kicks in to play.

You are right to be concerned - as I was when I read the News on Saturday. Today could have gone either way - let's have no surprises, but invest with our eyes open.

The market spoke today wrt the news of the suit - VNE had a very strong day and finished up again - I'll be sleeping very well tonight - but, remember - these are just my opinions.

If you still feel uneasy then phone IR tomorrow and discuss it with them - and put in a stop loss (always prudent to do for any stock).

Till tomorrow and another $3+ day,

David.
