Rick,
The two presentations today were to be on "Formation of a Hyaline-Like Cartilage on Three-Dimensional Scaffolds Is Influenced by its Architecture" and "Effect of Perfusion on the Growth of Tissue Engineered Cartilage."
Not surprisingly, ATIS and GERN were both up today, with ATIS being the only one in my indexed mini-skin sector up(ATIS, ORG, ORTC, IART, LIFC, and GENZL). The dog bladder article was the main kicker for today in the a.m. in my opinion, but the meeting topped it off nicely, given a second run in the latter part of the day, especially in the last 75 minutes or so. At that point the largest chunk of volume went, and with some sustained movement upward to just over three, starting with some very large trades(over 10% of today's volume went a bit before 3pm). Technically this is beginning to look like it may finally give the low 3s a challenge....the next day or two should tell us more. It is starting to look like 1999 will bring some excitement to the tissue-engineering sector, and if ATIS gets the positive fundamental results, these should be exciting times for this company.
