trendmaster, I wouldn't draw any hard and fast conclusions on trademarks. I recall the FCS trademark issue we debated here in the past. According to Benner's text this is a registered trademark of Ancor Communications, but at the time it seemed like other companies were using it generically to designate fibre channel. It is a very interesting observation though. George D.
