A study published last year in Lancet, with findings duplicated by Geaorgetown Medical Center, by a much larger patient sample at the original site in England and a load of lab tests trace:
A GI tract infection leading to intestinal permiability,
Resulting in a leakage of gluten and/or caesin peptides out of the gut,
Which combine with compounds in the bloodstream to effectively form opiates
Which cross the blood/brain barrior, thus effecting brain development and chemistry, bring on the onset of autism in genetically pre-disposed children who had been developing normally (in much of the autistic population, there are very abnormal immune system profiles)
This is precisely the case with my son, who was developing normally until his 2nd MMR (live virus)innoculation, triggering a very adverse reaction, followed by rapid, negative changes in physical development, language and behavior. My son in now so intollerant of gluten that he is touch sensitive (wheat, barley, rhy, oats) has autism, a very odd sensory profile and intestinal permiability.
