Gator, First of all, I do agree with most of your points. However, there are generally two (or more) sides to each argument, so let me hypothesize a devil's advocate reply:

1. The company was supposed to be profitable in 1998. In fact, we still don't know how 'bad' 1988 was. What makes 1999 better?

2. Yes, assets can be spun off, but at what cost? Other companies do take writeoffs after spinoffs.

3. Military budgets have been shrinking historically. AFNAF opportunities are no growth field. How profitable is an AFNAF contract at a closed base?

4. Ah, the PR revolving door. A good PR guy can add maybe $1.50 a share to this stock. The old guys have probably subtracted $2. Like pepper coming out of a salt shaker.

5. 'They try hard to do the right things.' But we've argued that they execute poorly. Are they going to designate a (non-PR) management liaison to communicate on this board?

6. Insiders own lots of stock. It's in their best interests to see their stock go up. ==> Yes, so they can get more money from their regular 'planned' sales. Are there ever going to be insider 'buys'? This stock is supposed to be very cheap compared to what it will (optimistically) be in two years.

My disclosure: Long ETPI and continuing to hold for the long-term. I have never received stock from ETPI management.
