What is the relationship between Intel's chip and WAVX??

Intel's Pentium III processor incorporates a security framework to support a common securtiy architecture and "building blocks" for constructing secure PCs. These security features were attacked by various civil liberty groups as an invasion of privacy, so Intel subsequently announced that the default setting for the chip's security would be in the "off" position.

1. Is Intel's architecture a competing model against Wave System??
2. Does the security features of theIntel chip provide any basic functionality upon which the "Embassy" system is dependent
3. Will Wave System face the same opposition from civil liberty groups?? Can it be switched "off"??
