With respect to the palm oil, I have seen it for sale in Middle Eastern markets. I, personally, love coconut oil, it is the best thing in the world to cook popcorn in. Mostly, I use olive oil, and I use real butter.
I wonder if you might benefit from treatment for insulin resistance, using something like glucophage (metformin). Glucophage improves the metabolism of glucose in peripheral tissues, so it is used to treat adult onset diabetes, and it is being used by some physicians to treat obesity, when there is a reason to diagnose insulin resistance (which develops into adult onset diabetes, and causes atherosclerosis). Glucophage improves lipid levels, too.
I am taking glucophage, and it is helping me to lose weight. I haven't had my cholesterol checked in a few months, it was 200 when I started, but my "bad" cholesterol was high. |
