C.K., thank you for the link to the source of the rumour, none other than S.I.'s favourite paid stock tout, John Westergaard. I searched the reference he cited (Information Week) but could not find anything that supported his statement. Given Westergaard's view of "truth",

"Truth" is not the issue. People can say whatever they want but in my view they should reveal their motives.


I suspect that the story has the status of an "urban legend".

Somewhere there may be Y2K problems with valves. However I am still waiting for a verifiable reference to valves that must be replaced because of an attached defective "motherboard".
