capt. rocky,

I believe that you're probably correct (that others knew about the Camino delay). The only problem I have with this theory is that there was only one downgrade. If Intel was going to let the news out, they would have given it to more than MS. I have a feeling that Edelstone must have ferreted it out somehow. The MS report (a piece of which was posted a couple of messages ago) agrees with the rumor that I heard -- that they were having trouble meeting the 800Mhz speed. The very positive news in his report is that some of the PC vendors will release systems based on a 600Mhz standard. That would be terrific, as Rambus will start getting some royalty from the early adopters.
