Everybody at Cisco does accounting.... they are all about their stock price. their system gives them up to the minute accounting and many manager level employees have access to this information. You could not be more wrong. WRONG WRONG WRONG. Directors have information about their specific business area but not the entire corporate earnings outlook. Even VP's are not completely informed. So, how in the world would an engineer know. I will give you this: It could be that the BU that your friend works for is having a tough quarter and that they are scrambling in that BU, but that is by no means an indicator of the earnings outlook this quarter. That's the beauty of Cisco. They are spread over so many sectors that weakness in one can be made up by strength in another. What group do your friends work in? OG
