IPOs can be a great way to make money on things like knowing when the underwriters are going to initiate coverage on the stock (at about the 25 day mark) and when the lock-up period is going to end and of course shorting the parent company if it is a spin-off just before the IPO oh and of courst just playing the technicals and knowing which ones have low floats and high trading volumes. I've been hit with fake breaks. I've got my finger on the trigger finger such that I'll quickly take the loss if prices revert back across the breakout line. Most breaks are fake breaks. Mid day breaks are almost always fake breaks because there isn't enough volume to get anyting going. There are exceptions like stocks on the most actives list. If things don't go to the upside here on TUTS, I'd be looking for reentry in about 7 trading days.
