Dave,
I have limited experience in options also, My comments are based on everything I've ever experience in life with regard to a start-up activity. Regardless of the time spent in preparation something always screws up or gets overwhelmed or just fails at the onset.
So I was commenting on the possible scenario that NAVR options start trading on Friday at say $1.5 for a 17.5 call prior to an announcement which is heavily anticipated. I think everyone on the bench knowledgable in options trading would jump on the options 17.5 call contracts for $1.5 in place of the long shares. This would cause a very high volume of sellers of long shares and a high volume of Call buyers simultaneously in the markets.

I think this would be excessively volatile and not portray well for NAVR in the markets. You would have a panic selling appearance in the stock market and a runaway buying frenzie in the options market. Now let's get to the announcement "later in the day" Now the options buyers want out because they doubled on the day, so all the option get flipped causing another selling scene with wide spreads.
And over in the stock market the NAVR shares are seen as ready to run because of the announcement and they get a buying frenzie going.

I personally see this an excessively volatile trading scenario which I can not see benefiting the NAVR company image.

Of course the MM will make out just great, but the investors will be unhappy in the end.

Just my opinion

Glenn
