One of the first things I look at is the advance declines, and they have been pathetic...the rally in the indexes are just that.....the rest of the market is not participating...a bad sign for the broader market. I also look at chart patterns, I think if the DOW sold below last October's lows, that would confirm a bear market, but I'm not expecting that.....IMHO. I think I probably look at numerous things, but I've been doing this for so long that I do it automatically...it's like trying to tell someone how I walk.....<g> I'm expecting a cycle low within a day or so, then a rally to new high closes for the indexes anyhow.....BWDIK..... GZ
