John: I understand that there is Software on the Market such as "Partition Magic" etc but I dont know how good they are. I believe that MS also has a Patch that will reduce the bytes to 8K for bigger than 1 Meg drives.Just never got aroun to trying them. I know that when I got the new HD several months ago I thought that I had a Virus because I was losing all that space when transferring files from my 3.5 diskdrive.I then was able to find someone who knew the answer. You woluld be surprised how many so called knowledgeable people didnt know the answer. Charles
