Is this Don Feder guy a pseudonym for you or something? What is this guy doing in Boston anyway? Isnt Boston supposed to be similar in political temperment to the bay area? A lot of people from here are moving there, they all think that - yikes!

But, mark this well, not a single Republican defected. Liberals like Sen. Susan Collins (Maine), John Chaffee (R.I.) and James Jeffords (Vt.), who rarely side with their party's majority on any issue, cast their lot with Jesse Helms and John Ashcroft. Even if they're out of sync with the Republican philosophy, GOP moderates know what's at stake here: the integrity of our system of government. This refutes the latest White House spin - that by pushing the case against Clinton, congressional Republicans are kowtowing to their party's right-wing base.

So we have come to admit that the GOP moderates are "out of sync" with republican philosophy now? Interesting, usually the republicans dont want to admit theyve been taken over by their extreme right.

When was the last time Olympia Snowe took her marching orders from Gary Bauer? Or John Warner from the Christian Coalition?

Duh. The last time they accepted money from the GOP national committee.
