Mary,

I obviously understand the advertising model. My suggestion was that the Internet version of certain businesses substantially changes the nature of those businesses. The onsale example of selling computers at cost, whether as advertising to get people to look at their web site and then do other business, shows the possibilities. It makes computer retailers obsolete. Can we do the same for car dealers (maybe) retail brokerage houses (definitely) and how do these substantive changes in the nature of the business affect valuation?
