J.D. Edwards Appoints Executive Team to Lead Vertical Markets Initiative

Enterprise business software provider J.D. Edwards & Co. (Nasdaq: JDEC) today announced that it has appointed two senior executives to run the company's recently defined vertical groups. Ray Rebello, 46, has been appointed vice president of worldwide sales and marketing for the Service vertical group and William Goodison, 43, has been appointed vice president of worldwide sales and marketing for the Industrial vertical group. This move underscores the Company's commitment to influencing vertical markets through an aggressive development and sales strategy and to delivering tailored solutions geared towards individual customers.
J.D. Edwards' Service sector includes retail, banking, health care, insurance, hospitality, entertainment, business service providers, public services, construction, engineering, real estate and mining. The Company's Industrial sector includes industrial fabrication and assembly, electronics and automotive supply.

Rebello, vice president of worldwide sales and marketing, will lead the Service vertical industry sales and marketing programs in addition to his responsibilities in market intelligence, product marketing and product alliances. Prior to his new assignment, Rebello served as director, where he was responsible for the worldwide launch of OneWorld. Before joining J.D. Edwards in 1992, Rebello was president of PRISM Systems in Atlanta. Rebello also spent 10 years with IBM in various manufacturing and sales positions. He holds a master's degree in industrial engineering from the University of Miami and a B.S. degree in industrial and systems engineering from the University of Florida.
Bill Goodison, former director of sales, has been appointed vice president of sales and marketing for the Industrial vertical group. With more than 18 years of MRP/ERP experience, Goodison's new responsibilities include market intelligence, product marketing and product alliances. Prior to joining J.D. Edwards as branch manager in August 1992, Goodison was district sales manager at ASK Computer Systems. He holds a B.S. in marketing management from San Francisco State University.
The Service and Industrials vertical organizations will support corporate programs by helping to manage relationships with business partners, develop target market training curriculums, provide sales support and execute market/solution identification and delivery.
