Would I be overstepping if I asked just why your mom lives with you? As much as I loved my mom, that would have been intolerable. Thomas may have been kidding---but I really think setting a deadline might be necessary! Unless you really owe her money or something. That might get weird. Dan's sweet mother wrote the loveliest note to me once, saying that if in the future she got OBS and wanted to live with us, that I should put her in a home and not think twice about it and not let Dan get all guilty. ANd if we felt guilty we were to read that note forbidding us to take in either one of them. I filed it with their Power of Attorney and it really is so reassuring. I think it was one of the most beautiful gifts she could have given. Of course, her parents lived well into their 90s-so she probably plans to outlive me anyway.
