Note that Ballard Power in Canada is the world leader in fuel cells and I believe holds many patents on the technology. It has partnered with Ford, Mercedes and perhaps others who combined have invested hundreds of millions to develop the technology. Tests are already being conducted on Chicago and Vancouver buses. I would be wary of any latecomers, particluarly on the OTC. I would check thoroughly whether SSPC really has any sort of competitive advantage over Ballard that would make it worth anything with respect to fuel cells? hoovers.com
