Rumored IBM/DELL deal.....An ole lady's viewpoint..... Let's assume that this rumor about an IBM/DELL deal is indeed a fact. Okay how about this ladies and gentlemen. Sometime ago I recall a piece indicating that DELL was looking for another manufacturing facility outside of the Austin area but still in the U.S. As I recall the reason for this was the strained labor force in the Austin area caused by DELL. vbg Let's say that IBM is dead serious about exiting the PC market. How about then DELL taking over their existing PC manufacturing facility? Sounds reasonable yes? Does anyone know if IBM's existing PC manufacturing facility is separate from perhaps an IBM complex? If it is separate then my theory of what is possibly happening holds up. It may hold up anyway. Can anyone shoot this theory down? Jean
