The Bridges Initiatives' 1998 report The Bridges Initiatives Inc BIT Shares issued 8,496,250 Tue 2 Feb 99 4:30 PM News Release Mr. Doug Manning reports The volume of shares traded and the price of The Bridges Initiatives Inc.increased significantly in January, following the release of Bridges.com's 1998 audited financial statements. Over 1,262,000 shares traded in January,just under the 1,375,410 traded in all of 1998. Recent AccomplishmentsSan Bernardino County has purchased CX for all of its 141 middle and secondary schools. It is the largest single district purchase in Bridges.com's history. The company has dedicated two sales staff to the state due to the size of the market. Of new sites, 240 have subscribed to CX in December and January. This compares with 88 new site sales in the same two months last year. The first quarter is traditionally the slowest for sales to schools. As a result,Bridges only projects 10 per cent of annual sales to the first quarter (175new sites). The San Bernardino sale has far exceeded this projection. Bridges.com has agreed to pilot a daily Education News (online) for theCanadian government. The two-week pilot begins in late February in B.C. and Ontario, and may set the stage for new revenue opportunities in late spring. Bridges.com's 1998 annual general meeting will be held in Kelowna on April7, 1999. |
