New preferred stock financing deal announced:
biz.yahoo.com

It seems like a good deal for NEOT, which they could only have made if they had a very promising drug. Most of what I posted on the YHOO thread follows:

The financing deal certainly seems like a good deal for NEOT. Five percent isn't bad and the conversion prices are all above the market. I was glad to see that there is a provision that the stock is not convertible below a certain price, so there is no advantage for the lenders to drive the stock price down.

I'm glad there won't be a deal with a pharma until much later. Now NEOT retains control of their own destiny and can follow the agenda they feel is best without having to accommodate whatever priorities a pharma partner may have.

From all indications, they have the goods. I wish they would share the news better ... more frequently, in more detail, and written in a way that a non-scientist shareholder can understand the significance of the announcement. After all, there were double blinded tests on humans completed that were conducted by independent testers that showed memory IMPROVEMENT in over 70 Alzheimer patients and it was as though nothing unusual happened! Isn't this the first time this has happened? What were the details? How much did they improve? Did everybody improve? How many improved how much? Were there any adverse effects at all? How long did it take to get results? How long did the results last? Are these secrets? How come this news, even on preliminary tests, isn't featured in the medical journals? What is the next step? The shareholders are entitled to this information. We have been waiting a long time for these results and we haven't really been told very much at all.
