Anyone : Currently the Cable Owners do not have to open their Cable lines to other rivals in the manner the Telephone Carriers had to. AT&T recent take over of TCI &Time Warner etc is based on the fact that this will give them a monopoly. It is my understanding that AOL is quite unhappy about this and has moved Congress to open up the Cable Nets to competition.

My questions are as follows:

a:Is there going to be an explosion in Cable Modem usage.?

b:Is Congress going to allow another monopoly to be created.

c:Can the RBOC's and Baby Bells fight back on Copper or must they merge with other Cable Companies to survive.

d: What is the relative unit first and running cost between Cable and DSL.
