If you look at the TI DSP from the ISP perspective, then
you see a single processor that can implement multiple
modems, not just one. If it takes one 50 or 60 MIPS last
generation TI DSPs to implement an X2 modem (like USR is doing
now), then the next generation X2 modem pool can certainly
fit a dozen or more X2 modems in the new 1600 MIPS DSP.
