Zeev,

I don't know enough about the DD sector to be able to state that a fall in the North American leaders is a leading indicator of an impending fall in the Chip Equipment sector.

Intuitively, I'd suspect that there may be many other factors that could affect the DD sector, especially overall capacity in the fareast vs demand.

In addition, when PCs come with 15GB drives, the need for an upgrade is much less frequent than was the came when the hard drives were 10MB.

RE RAMBUS: Yes, I'd be concerned about a company that has next to no earnings trading at astronomical P/E,PSR, P/Bk with its customers aggressively working on developing royalty free competitive products.
It's priced as if it will corner the entire DRAM market and soon. I think that highly unlikely. But it doesn't cause me any concern about the Semi Equipment Prospects.

Re CYMI. It's come from under 10 to almost 30 in 4 months. I think it's quite alright for it to give back a couple bucks without me getting faked out of my position. I've waited this long to see results. I'll wait another year or 2.

But then again, if you like to help increase Uncle Sam's surplus, go for it. ;-)

Ian.
