Yes, it is strange, isn't it? May be meaningless--could be the journalist writing the story simply misunderstood what chip we were talking about, but on the other hand...could it also be that the deletion reflects background information offered by TI, but not for release at this time?

Further speculation: could the delay in shipment of native x2 modems have anything to do with the new chip? Just what did TI say about production schedules? If you check out TI's copious information on the new chip, you'll see there's a link to their own material on x2; nothing there answers my question, though.
