Sounds like he thought he smelled smoke. And really - 'scream'? Is a post on the internet more than a whisper in the wind? That word he used is used often on these threads, and is largely ignored. His post would have been long forgotten absent the threat of a lawsuit.

But now it is enshrined as part of SI history. The thing I keep asking myself is - Why? Why would that so-common word inspire that particular reaction from that particular company at that particular time? Did he touch a nerve? Could it be that the company considers this thread vital to its chances of success?

Could the last poster there have touched on the core of it, that what is missing is up-to-date comprehensive audited financials? If so, how will suing StaggerLee aid the company's growth?

You're right, Mike - companies 'have the legal right to go after bashers'.
But what I'd like to know is why they choose to do so.

Don't they have a business to run?
