Me, I'm a Jesuit-trained foot soldier of the Pope so the message I got out of that article was the power of mass media and the simple but true God, Country and Family theme. Here's a compelling article by Brian Eno which is part of a great WIRED (January) issue on the increasing complexity of Technology. 90 minutes a day max is my goal. The Revenge of the Intuitive wired.com This article reminded me of what an old Jesuit, who was expelled from China, taught me a long time ago. There's a classical boxing strategy which calls for a boxer to pound the body of an opponent in the early rounds so that the head will fall in the later rounds. Memorable punchline -- "...and there goes another soul to hell." It took a long time for me to figure out that it was a warning against the false messiah.
