NEWS RELEASE TRANSMITTED BY CANADIAN CORPORATE NEWS

FOR: DYNAMIX CORPORATION

ASE SYMBOL: DYX

FEBRUARY 2, 1999

Production Commencement in Kentucky; New Director

CALGARY, ALBERTA--Dynamix Corporation is pleased to announce the
commencement of gas production in Johnson County, Kentucky. Three
wells are currently on restricted production at 500 mcf/day (DYX
25 percent) due to compressor capacity limitations. An additional
compressor will be placed on stream by the end of February that
will provide for a total production of at least 1 mmcf/day. Two
additional wells are awaiting completion and will be tied in by
the end of February. This will represent the completion of the
first phase of development of the project.

Further to this stage being reached, the Company has also enlisted
a reputable engineering firm in the United States to commence
evaluation of the properties. This will indicate the size of the
reserves and anticipated cash flows.

The Company would also like to welcome Mr. Ken Murray to the Board
of Directors. Mr. Murray is a professional geologist with over 30
years of industry experience, particularly in shallow gas. He has
held senior management positions with Sulpetro Limited, Nugas
Limited and, currently, Q Energy Limited where he is a founder and
holds the office of Vice President of Exploration. Mr. Murray
brings considerable technical and business experience to the
Board.

The Company would also like to announce, in reference to its
September 23, 1998 press release, that it will not be
participating in the Missisippian farm-in multi-zone gas well in
Strachan. The Company still retains its land position in the
area.
