Mark, Just let me say that hype will not keep a company afloat forever. The pump and dump posts I have seen on this thread over the years makes me want to warn all of the new investors that happen to find this site that the past history of the volatility of this stock is caused by professional traders that have gone away very rich because they have practiced pump and dump tactics on FTEL for a very long time. They know not to buy in on a run-up but to wait til negative posts or lack of news will run the price down to a buy in point. Then watch the action once they are positioned. When the stock has ran and they begin to see large volume at the top with no further upwards movement, they dump the stock, going away a lot richer until it starts all over again.

I do not see the company directly involved other than to say that there have been instances when the nature of the press releases appeared to be known ahead of time. It real easy to time the market on this one if you have prior news before it is released. If this is not the case, then we definitely have some very astute Gurus on this thread.

I have not been in FTEL recently, and have traded it in the past but for the last year I have been investing mostly in stocks that have low P/Es and verifiable earnings that have developed credibility in the market.

Now, my main purpose is to warn new investors to only invest on established bases rather than on the run up phase of the pump and dump actions.

Know that I do not know what the future holds for FTEL. But on past experience they have a long way to go before they become an acceptable risk. 5% of your portfolio as a gamble is ok. To use money that you cannot afford to lose is not investing soundly, it is gambling against house rules that you cannot win.

This is all IMHO.
