Sorters shouldn't affect Cohu.That is, cohu's test handlers come with sorters, with the exception of Daymarc's Enterprise machine.The only company that has purchased the Enterprise Machine is Micron.This tester utilizes tray and place technology - it tests (16 or 32?) all at the same time.Sorting is done after the performance has been determined and the tray removed.The thought was sorting is easy and the testing is the time variable that creates the bottleneck.

Understand that the Direct Rambus DRAM testing which has been partnered with Hewlett Packard ,also will be offered with Schlumberger and Teradyne testers.All of the above will feature the Cohu's Castle pick and place testhandlers.

These guys really do own their niche in semiconductor testhandlers .

Agree on overbot,everyonce in a while one of those 11 to13 day miraculous climbs straight up occurs.Cohu sure looked like a good candidate and to be honest greed was boiling in my blood.Now I,ve received my dose of reality - lost some of my money and am settled down with the task of sweating out a poor entry point.Tried to correct some of it during the panic, but the only buyers out there were scalpers in the 30's.Greed is a powerful evil and I succumb to it at times.Only saving grace was I did in small quantities - sort of like the frosting not the cake.

Thanks for your input - You are right.

I have a sneaky suspicion we will see a turnaround by the end of the day (I hope so anyway)
