Stockwatcher:

Got out of HMK with a nice profit. Did you see the news about OMKT ? Lycos deal. Ask is still less than I sold for though. Bought into SDTI yesterday instead. The numbers are out and there was a selloff, came back from 18 1/2 and is still going. I was looking for a quick trade but I may hold longer now.

U.S. Department of Commerce Approves RSA Digital Signature Standard

Approval To Facilitate Widespread Use of RSA Algorithm in Government and Financial Services Sectors

SAN MATEO, Calif., Feb. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- RSA Data Security, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Security Dynamics Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: SDTI -
news), today announced that the U.S. Department of Commerce has adopted RSA's digital signature technology and has approved the modification of the Federal
Digital Signature standard (FIPS 186-1) to support the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) X9.31 standard for RSA digital signatures. As a result,
government agencies will now be able to use RSA-enabled digital signature applications without having to go through a time-consuming standards waiver process.
The approval also lends support for the growing use of RSA security technology across other industry sectors, including financial services, where the ANSI X9.31
standard is used to secure transactions and messages between banks and banking customers.

''The approval of ANSI X9.31 is a significant breakthrough for government agencies, many of which are already using RSA technology and have been anticipating
its acceptance as an official approved security standard,'' said Miles Smid, Acting Chief of the Computer Security Division, National Institute of Standards &
Technology (NIST). ''These agencies can now take direct advantage of RSA technology to protect unclassified information without needing to seek a waiver.''

''The Department of Commerce's approval of the X9.31 standard underscores the strong and growing support for the RSA digital signature algorithm, as embedded
in X9.31,'' said Scott Schnell, senior vice president of marketing for RSA and Security Dynamics. ''With the last barrier to the use of RSA products by the federal
government removed, we look forward to working with a variety of government agencies to develop new applications and services that take advantage of secure
online delivery of information.''

Today's announcement by RSA follows approval late last year of American National Standard X9.31 by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI),
accelerating the use of the RSA security algorithm in the financial services industry. ANSI X9.31 is the first standard for reversible public-key signatures for the U.S.
financial services industry.

''The approval of the RSA standard is a significant event for the financial services industry, as well as for other communities such as health care information and
electronic commerce,'' said Fr. Blake Greenlee, chairman of ANSI's ASC X9 Working Group X9.F1 that developed the standard. ''Used with the validation
procedures under development, financial institutions can purchase and install ANSI-compliant RSA digital signature cryptography to secure high-value financial
transactions and other confidential client information.''
