You won't get much support for marketing, public relations, etc. from me. I didn't even finish the "Test Drive" when I looked at it. It doesn't do the software justice. In support of Open Text, they are addressing their weak areas as fast as they can. It appears that they know where they are weak. It just takes time and resources to address them. An example is the User documentation. It was non-existent when QUALCOMM bought Livelink over a year ago. In fact, we used to get the software releases via ftp. We would try not to laugh when users asked us for manuals. Now they have a complete set of professional manuals that ship with the software just like all of their competitors. It's obvious to me since I have been there from the start that management has a handle on the situation. It's just a matter of time and resources before these few remaining issues are addressed. Meanwhile, they continue to add an impressive list of customers (announced and unannounced!) because they have unique and powerful products to sell.
