re: EGRP & Merrill. Merrill was interested in Schwab a few months ago but SCH stock went thru the roof. Merrill has mentioned several times they are interested in going online. So it wouldn't be unreasonable to think a Merrill or another full-service firm might simply acquire an EGRP since there are high barriers to entry in this industry, i.e. customer base, infrastructure, etc...
