The Flexitallic Group Gains a Competitive Advantage Using J.D. Edwards' Enterprise Resource Planning Solution; OneWorld to Fulfill the Need for Multi-Site Management Capabilities
DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 3, 1998--Enterprise business software provider J.D. Edwards & Company (Nasdaq:JDEC) today announced that The Flexitallic Group, a leading supplier of industrial gaskets and fasteners, has chosen to implement J.D. Edwards' OneWorld(TM) software solution to gain a competitive advantage. Flexitallic will use the multi-platform, enterprise computing solution to control inventory costs, respond quickly to customers, integrate manual processes to produce high quality products and hopes to resolve year 2000 issues.

OneWorld, J.D. Edwards' multi-platform enterprise computing solution, allows customers to continue to scale, upgrade and evolve underlying technology, at their own pace over time, without sacrificing business functionality. Running on IBM's advanced series AS/400e, OneWorld will replace Flexitallic's existing antiquated system, with financial, logistics/distribution and manufacturing solutions.

Working with Arthur Andersen, Flexitallic plans to complete its OneWorld implementation by August 1999. The software rollout will include sites in Houston, Deer Park, Canada, Chicago and Los Angeles. The company expects to make OneWorld its global standard within the next three to five years.
