Slippery Slope.
Apple's "superior technology" was developed in the past by a loyal group of employees. Apple is laying off 1,500 and may layoff 1,500 more to conserve cash to stay alive. So much for continued employee loyalty. Apple is throwing out its intellectual capital to compensate for management error. If there are any creative, motivated employees left they will be gone soon. The ones who will remain will be those most tightly locked into Apple's unique programs and systems that have a limited (no?) market outside Apple.

The thrill is gone; so is the creativity.
